NEW 1U, 600-WATT POWER SUPPLY TURNS

INTO 234 DIFFERENT OUTPUT COMBINATIONS

WITH FLIP OF A SWITCH

Coral Springs, Florida-To further increase the speed of response to customer requirements, UNIPOWER Corporation has introduced a new version of its popular PowerCassette®, 1U, 600-watt, six output switcher, which has its outputs factory set by means of internal DIP switches. By this means, UNIPOWER can offer next-day delivery on 234 different models, in small quantities. The product, designated as the Quick-Set PowerCassette with model numbers starting with PCH-S and TPCH-S, come in both chassis mount and hot-swap versions. All specifications are identical to the current non-programmable version of the PowerCassette.

The units provide up to six outputs, including a 5VDC, one-ampere independent standby output. Maximum continuous power is 600 watts, and available output voltages are from 1.8VDC to 12VDC. The ultra-compact, low-profile case measures only 1.6 inches high (1U) by 5 inches wide by 11 inches deep, producing 6.8 watts per cubic inch. The case incorporates internal cooling fans and a single, pluggable connector.

Quick-Set PowerCassette

The instant delivery of the Quick-Set PowerCassette means that it totally supercedes the older, bulky and costly "modular" designs with a far more compact and cost-effective unit for multi-output applications requiring 400 to 600 watts. The DIP switch output programming is the result of an advanced "cellular-type" architecture employing four standard internal power cells. Patents are issued and pending on the Quick-Set PowerCassette.

Other features of the Quick-Set PowerCassette include power factor correction, single-wire current sharing, output ORing diodes on the hot-swap versions, remote sensing, adjustable output voltages, no-load operation, universal input range of 85 to 264VAC, overvoltage protection and overtemperature protection. Input and output control and monitoring features are also incorporated.

Next day delivery is available for small quantities of any of the 234 listed models. Pricing of the Quick-Set PowerCassette in high volumes is as low as $399.
