U.S. PATENT ON POPULAR POWERCASSETTE®

Coral Springs, Florida-UNIPOWER Corporation today announced that it has been awarded a U.S. patent for its popular PowerCassette® switching power supply series. PowerCassette is an ultra-compact, 1U high, multi-output switcher that produces a maximum of 600 watts. The patent, issued on March 5, 2002, is a U.S. Design patent; in addition, two U.S. Utility patents covering internal design features are pending.

PowerCassette's significant features include small size, low profile, high power density, dual main outputs, internal cooling, and a host of important interface features allowing it to satisfy the demands of 90% of typical networking, storage and communication applications from 350 to 600 watts. It is available in both chassis-mount and hot-swap versions.
