1U, FRONT-END POWER SYSTEM IS

HOT-SWAP WITH UP TO 2400 WATTS OUTPUT

Coral Springs, Florida-UNIPOWER's new 2400-watt, front-end power system features three 800-watt, hot-swap power modules in a slim, 1U high (1.72 inches), 19-inch rack. The back panel has all input and output connections including separate AC inputs for each module, copper output bus bars and a 25-pin subminiature D connector for control signals. The system is only 11.56 inches deep, for use in ETSI cabinetry with maximum depth of 12 inches. The power system is designed for use in telecom systems, network equipment and other applications that use a 48 or 24VDC power bus; a 12VDC output version is also available.

The TPCMR1U power rack holds three hot-swap, parallel-connected TPCM Series power modules which produce 48VDC at 50A (2400W), 24VDC at 87.5A (2100W) or 12VDC at 150A (1800W) in the non-redundant mode.Operating in the 2+1 redundant mode, the system produces 48VDC at 33.3A (1600W), 24VDC at 58.3 (1400W) or 12VDC at 100A (1200W).

Other features of the 2400-watt front end include universal input voltage range of 85-264VAC, input power factor correction, remote sensing, a +5VDC, 250mA standby output, and integral LED status indicators. The system meets the Class B conducted EMI standard. Monitoring and control signals brought out include AC power fail, DC power good, overtemperature warning, current monitor, current share, and module present. There is an optional I2C serial data bus output which permits monitoring parameters on demand by a host system.

The complete 2400-watt, front-end system consists of a rack with three power modules priced separately. The TPCMR1U Series rack is priced as low as $415 each, and the TPCM Series power modules are priced at $405 each in moderate volumes. Delivery is stock to 4 weeks.
